Step 1: Turn off the power

To avoid the risk of electric shock, it is essential to switch off the power supply to your heating controls.

Step 2: Remove your current heating controls

Hopefully, you’ve taken the advice from Step 1 onboard and you can now safely remove your current heating controls.

Idea
TIP: Take a photo of your existing wiring for reference.

Step 3a: Two-Wire Install

Fit the energyGuard Hub base plate and connect the 2 wires to L and V1. L wire is a live-in connection from the mains (230V) and V1 is a live-out connection.

Warning
CAUTION: Connecting the wires incorrectly will damage the device.

Step 3b: Three-Wire Install

Fit the energyGuard Hub base plate. Connect L and V1 to the top 2 wire slots (see Step 3a) and the neutral wire to the bottom slot.

Warning
CAREFUL NOW: Connecting the wires incorrectly will damage the device.

Step 4: Tighten the screws

Tighten the base plate to your wall using the screws in the box. Don’t forget to use the washer to make sure it’s on the level.

Step 5: Connect the front panel

Align the display with the right side of the base plate. Then push the left side down until it clicks into place.

Step 6: Ready to go

Success! energyGuard Hub is now fully functioning and ready to go! It’ll start automatically so just follow the on-screen instructions to go to setup.

Info
NOTE: If you have a programmer/timer, you will need to set it to constant ON.
